Bushtops is accessible both by air and road. Depending on your point of arrival in Kenya (either Mombasa or Nairobi) we do recommend flying in.

By Air there are various airlines that have scheduled daily flights to Mara from both Mombasa and Nairobi, and we will gladly arrange this for you. If you prefer to charter your own plane this arranged with one of the small aircraft air charter companies based in Nairobi Wilson airport. The flight from Mombasa takestwo hours, where enroute you can get a fantastic view of Mt Kilimanjaro, weather permitting . If you fly from Nairobi this is a 35 minute flight over the Rift Valley.Depending on the rotations you could land either at Keekorok or Siana Springs airfield. Don't be surprised to fly over herds of Elephants and Giraffe before landing.

By Road the trip is a scenic one from Nairobi with a stunning trip down to the bottom of the Great rift Valley. Then a slow climb up to 2200 meter on the Mau escarpment to arrive at Mara after the town of Narok. The Tarmac road leads to 50km after Narok and is currently being totally renewed. So be prepared for a bumpy ride. Those with back problems are not advised to travel this way but if you can it is a great experience to view the Majestic Kenyan countryside.
