RHINOS OF SANDRIVERPosted by ranger in Bushtops Daily Game Reports |
Reporting Date: 09.02.2013
When the temperature is low rhinos will move out of the forest to the plains for a sun bask or wallow on the mud holes. When it becomes too hot will go back to the forest for a shade and also for nutritious leaves to eat. This forces the rangers to make sure they are on the rhino spot before it gets too hot. The rhino spotted today looked relaxed as it moved slowly within the plains close to Sand river forest, which was very unusual as most of the time they are fearful and will start to run for a cover immediately it spots a vehicle.
