Elephants at the camp.
Before we closed the camp in April we had elephants coming to visit the camp on a number of occasions. Yesterday they came again in the early hours of the morning. They walked slowly while grazing. As they could hear some movements from the camp, the leaders of the group raised up their trunks to smell the air then moved on. the guests in the camp had a fantastic time watching game directly from the camp. The elephants came to show us that they still like the camp and its vicinities. There has been a lot of rains in the past two months and the grass is tall and greener in most parts of the Serengeti, hence the reason why these thick -skinned animals visit us often.
