Wildebeests everywhere around camp.
The Serengeti bushtops camp has been turned into a wildebeest camp as thousands and thousands of this animals have taken over from the frequent elephant visits. After having crossed over from the mara afew weeks ago, these nomads of the grasslands which are now on their way to their ancestral breeding grounds of southern Serengeti have decided to make our camp as their stopping point. Everywhere the air is full of their grunting noises as they happily graze in the greener pastures that currently exists around the camp due to some recent rains. Predators like lions have not been left behind as they follow these animals for their breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner as a result of this, our guests have christened the camp as the “wildebeests camp”.
