The Sand river on the border between the Mara and the Serengeti is not a great challenge to the migrating herds of wildebeests as it is a seasonal river. But seeing these animals rushing down in long columns is spectacular. They run through the riverine bushes onto the sandy banks then into the river and out onto the open plains with a few zebras following them.
